In the phosphoric acid process, burning and hydrating phosphorus rock can generate small, sometimes sub-micron liquid droplets. If not removed from the process, this entrainment can exit the stack and result in air pollution.
FLEXIFIBER® type BD or FLEXIFIBER® type IC mist eliminators are often applied to remove entrained liquid droplets associated with this process.
