Leading the Way

Koch-Glitsch is a complete solutions provider with extensive knowledge, experience, and unique capabilities. Across the chemical, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries, Koch-Glitsch is recognized as a global leader in mass transfer and separations equipment as well as related services, with a full range of capabilities to meet your toughest needs.

Over 100 Years of Experience

Fred Koch established Koch Engineering in 1945, and the company developed its own tray technologies. Some of the original tray configurations are shown in the photo above.

Fritz W. Glitsch started his fabrication and machine shop in Dallas, Texas in 1913, and by the 1930s, the company specialized in columns and mass transfer equipment.

By 1997, Koch Engineering and Glitsch International were both industry leaders in their respective products. Koch Engineering acquired Glitsch International and renamed the company Koch-Glitsch.

In 2019, Koch-Glitsch acquired Julius Montz GmbH, a Germany-based leader in structured packings and trays, as well as process systems for the chemical, fine chemical, oleochemical, and pharmaceutical industries—with specialized capabilities in green technology, renewables, alcohol, food, and solvent recovery. Koch Engineered Solutions

For many of our customers, we are a complete solutions provider because of our shared products and capabilities across affiliated Koch companies. Diagnostic scans, combustion burners, modular mass transfer skids and heat transfer products are just a few examples of products available from other companies within Koch Engineered Solutions.  We remain committed to research and development to drive our business forward with new technology and innovative solutions.

Our responsibility

Koch-Glitsch is dedicated to the stewardship of environmental resources by developing technology and manufacturing processes that minimize raw material resource consumption. Koch-Glitsch’s unique equipment designs maximize available efficiency and capacity, which allows customers to minimize energy requirements for their plant operations, while our mist eliminators and coalescers allow plants to meet ever-increasing environmental control requirements.

We’re equally committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers and the general public. We have received recognition for these efforts, including Star Worksite status at three separate Koch-Glitsch facilities through the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) for sustained excellence in all areas of safety – OSHA’s highest VPP award.

Globally certified

All Koch-Glitsch global manufacturing sites are ISO 9001-2015 certified. Our global quality program drives consistent design, products and services at all our sites around the world, monitoring and directing business processes to deliver a 100% first-pass yield by actively eliminating defects and waste.
