Steam production
Solids carried from steam drums in the form of water droplet entrainment can cause scaling on superheated tubes, resulting in localized overheating and equipment failure. These consequences make mist removal extremely important in steam production systems.
Wire-mesh mist eliminators have demonstrated their ability to meet the most stringent requirements of steam purity.

DEMISTER® mist eliminators or a combination of wire mesh and chevron technology, known as a DEMISTER-PLUS™ mist eliminators, are typically the separation technologies of choice.
