Pulp and paper
Pulp and paper plants use contactors, evaporators, scrubbers, steam drums, and heat recovery systems in the many processes necessary to convert wood fiber to pulp and pulp to paper.

Evaporators and contactors
Koch-Glitsch provides high efficiency DEMISTER® mist eliminators and low pressure drop FLEXICHEVRON® mist eliminators for efficient mist elimination on multiple effect black liquor evaporators and liquor contactors.
 
Steam drums
Both DEMISTER® and DEMISTER-PLUS™ mist eliminators are used for steam drums.
 
Scrubbers
Typically, DEMISTER® or FLEXICHEVRON® mist eliminators are used for scrubbers associated with the bleaching plant and chlorine dioxide absorber.
 
Heat recovery systems
FLEXICHEVRON® mist eliminators are often used for paper machine/waste heat recovery systems to keep water from freezing on roofs and aggressive chemicals from destroying roofs.
