Vapor distributors
Good vapor distribution provides good separation efficiency.

Model 746 lateral arm vapor distributor

Koch-Glitsch offers a variety of devices designed to handle each of the following situations.
  • Excessive inlet velocities can cause vapor and liquid channeling resulting in lower efficiency.
  • Vapor and liquid channeling can initiate or accelerate fouling or coking of the bed in applications such as crude vacuum wash beds.
  • At turndown conditions, the pressure drop across the packed bed may not be sufficient to properly distribute the vapor.
