The slurry vapor distributor is a proprietary Koch-Glitsch design designed specifically for distribution of the FCC main fractionator feed gas below the slurry pumparound bed.

This distributor has been proven to withstand the severe conditions over a long period of time. In addition, the vapor distribution quality created by this device has been validated by commerical experience as well as detailed Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling performed by Koch-Glitsch.

Koch-Glitsch's proprietary enhanced vapor horn provides improved vapor distribution and de-entrainment of the feed inlets of refinery fractionators.
 
Vapor horns are designed to provide both bulk phase separation of the vapor and liquid and intitial distribution of the feed vapor.
 
Performance of the feed inlet device is critical to ensure:
  • Adequate gas oil quality and yield
  • Maximum column capacity
  • Proper wash bed performance


This technology can be adapted to a wide variety of feed inlet configurations.
