Plastic random packing
Random packings have been successfully used as an inexpensive but very effective means to increase a tower's capacity and/or efficiency. Plastic packings are used in corrosive applications with low to moderate operating temperature and can offer an economical advantage over metal materials. Typical services that use plastic random packing are absorption, scrubbing, stripping, and heat transfer services.
